The focus group participants will be asked to share their experiences and views about:
- Current energy use and management practices
- EV charging patterns and preferences
- Perspectives on energy sharing/selling opportunities
- Information needs for decision-making
The survey participants will be asked to provide:
- Travel diary (daily travel patterns and activities)
- EV charging diary
- PV usage
- Appliance usage diary (timing and frequency of major appliance use)
- Decision preferences for charging/discharging under different scenarios
- Interactions between travel behaviour, charging/discharging decisions and household appliance usage patterns
- Preferences for emerging charging and energy trading models

- Information from the focus group will be used to guide the development of the online survey (e.g., questionnaire development)
- Data collected from focus groups and survey will be used for research purposes (with potential policy/practice-related outcomes).
- The research project is approved by the University of Melbourne Human Research Ethics Committee (Ethics ID 2024-30851-59707-3).
