Ultra-high strength concrete

This project is part of an ARC Future Fellowship project (FT200100024) to develop high strength concrete for composite columns used in modular units of modular tall buildings. We have developed a cost-effective mix design for ultra-high strength concrete (with compressive strength up to 170MPa) using low cost materials and normal curing approaches [1]. Therefore, it can be used for practical applications. We have also investigated the use of steel fibres to enhance the ductility and fire resistance of our mix design [2].
