*Dr Jia Wang (2019)

Associate Professor - Southeast University, China

Wang Jia, Ph.D., associate researcher, master supervisor, received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Hunan University, a master's degree in architecture and civil engineering from Tongji University, and a doctorate in civil engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Mainly engaged in the performance evaluation and design of composite structures and image-related measurement work, has carried out a series of researches on plastic damage, fatigue fracture, progressive collapse, etc. around multi-scale models and new material components for a long time, and has achieved certain results. In the past five years, he has published more than 17 academic papers in internationally renowned journals, including Journal of Construction Steel Research , International Journal of Fatigue , Steel and Composite Structures , etc. Host or participate in projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Australian Natural Science Foundation of China as the backbone of research. Presided over a Southeast University teaching reform project.

PhD thesis: Behaviour and design of demountable composite frames with beam-to-column bolted joints (Co-supervising with Prof Brian Uy at UNSW)
